Shelter General Specifications

SHELTER STRUCTURE

General
Shelters are designed to protect electronic equipment and operators from external environmental effects. Shelters are produced in accordance with the ACE Std Specification 6516/SHCPR/86 standards. Shelters provide adequate space for hosting electronic equipment and conducting general testing and maintenance.

*Walls*:
The shelter consists of 6 “Sandwich” Panels (4 side walls, ceiling, and floor).

All shelter panels are primarily made of two parallel, single-piece aluminum alloy surfaces containing a binder, non-combustible rigid polyurethane, and internal reinforcement elements.

*Operating Conditions*:
Shelters are suitable for operation and transportation at an external temperature between -40°C and +55°C. The general heat transfer coefficient of the shelter does not exceed 1.7 W/°C – m² – h. Shelters can withstand exposure to air with 100% relative humidity and salt spray for two weeks without any deterioration. The shelter can withstand rainfall effects of 50 mm/hour with a wind speed of 35 km/hour. Shelters can be submerged in water up to 50 cm without any leakage or damage to the structure.

*Storage Conditions*:
Shelters can be stored at temperatures between -40°C and +70°C for up to two years without any damage. The humidity range can be between 10% and 100%.

*Floor*:
The floor is covered with thick plastic, non-slip, airtight, and electrically insulated material. The shelter floor has a drainage hole. The drainage hole is covered with a specially designed screw plug that can be easily removed and sealed to provide both environmental and RFI insulation.

*Door*:
The shelter door has the same structure as the walls. Even when the door is externally locked with a padlock, it can be opened from the inside under all conditions. The door can be opened from the inside via an emergency mechanism that releases the external padlock hooks. The door of the shelter has a rain and RFI seal for insulation. When necessary, the shelter door can be held open at 90º and other angles using a locking device attached to the upper hinge side. The door can be easily closed by pressing a button on the locking device. When the shelter is mounted on a truck and the door is open, a handrail handle attached to the inside of the door can be used to climb into the shelter with a ladder.

*Roof*:
The shelter has foldable steps for access to the roof. The shelter roof can withstand a distributed surface load of 500 kg/m² without any damage and is subjected to non-slip sandblasting. One person (90 kg) can walk on the shelter roof without causing damage.

*Transportation*:
Shelters can be transported by helicopter, train, and road vehicles while loaded, and when suspended with ISO Corners, they have sufficient strength to secure the mounted equipment inside the shelter. Shelters can be transported using a standard NATO cargo truck and C-130 transport aircraft used within the military.

*RFI Interference Protection*:
The shelter provides RFI interference protection at the following values:

Electrical Field Attenuation: Provides a 60 dB attenuation for all frequencies between 150 kHz and 10 MHz.
Magnetic Field Attenuation: Provides a 60 dB attenuation for all frequencies between 150 kHz and 50 MHz.
Plane Field Attenuation: Provides a 60 dB attenuation for all frequencies between 100 MHz and 10 GHz.
